Gin-ga

This morning I woke up with excruciating pain in my throat. The kind where it feels like shards of glass are having a party in my mouth everytime I feel the need to swallow. Which is about 9 times every minute. But who's counting?
I did a little research. After taking teaspoons of cough medicine that tastes like Jager and glue, spraying numbing spray down my throat, and gargling a whole pint of hot salt water..I really felt like crying.

Then I noticed some lemon and ginger tea in the pantry. So I made a mouth-numbingly hot cup of that, let it steep for-ever and added some honey and a pinch of tumeric. Hello heaven!
Just thought I would share that for anyone going through the same thing I am. Chances are, if you live in England you probably are since everyone seems to be getting the same thing.

England so far..

I have seriously been neglecting my blog. I have so many things that I want to share from England but when you're on vacation, it's hard to find the time to even check your e-mail. Basically I've been eating a lot, drinking a lot [of tea], and traveling/shopping all day. I love it here. It's cold and feels like Christmas all the time. Yes, it rains a ton, but I am not much of a sun person anyway. The temperature has actually been pretty nice. It's cold enough to wear cute 'wintery' clothes but warm enough that you're not shivering to death and your face doesn't go numb. The past two times I've been here I've gotten really sick. Well, I've managed not to this time. Until today. Which is why I'm laying in bed posting this right now =D.

Finals-Day One

Today is the start of finals in my second to last semester of college. As much as I hate to say it, I know that one day I'll look back and WISH I had only the stresses that I have today.Only four exams & three days left and I'll be leaving on a jet plane to England!

Good luck to everyone taking finals. I feel your pain!!

Happiness

Do you ever get those days where all you want to do is lay in bed and block out the world? Then there are days when you wake up and all you want to do is go out and make friends with the world. I am having one of those days. One of those days where you are so happy that if a complete stranger walked up to you and screamed profanities in your face, you'd probably just shrug it off and give him a hug or something.
That may be a bit of an exaggeration but you catch my drift. I'm a happy girl today! And it's only 10a.m. And I am aware that I have to proctor a 2-hour final exam and go to work straight after.
I am so thankful for days like this and wish everyone could receive more of them. Imagine if everyday, every person in the whole world was having an amazingly happy day. There would be no use for fighting, killing, or wars. We would all be too content with spending moments with people we love, trying out new foods, travelling around the world, making new friends, reading new books, learning more things, exploring different cultures, or helping people in need.  I wish we were all fortunate enough to have days like this, everyday.
